Welcome to the Guild of American Papercutters

Members of the Guild endeavor to learn, educate and promote original papercutting as an artform to, and among: artists, historians, supporters of the art, collectors, and the general public. The Guild encourages knowledge of traditions and acceptance of exploration through its newsletter, traveling exhibits, a biennial papercutting conference called "Collection," and members’ workshops and demonstrations.

Top story

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Patty Kile, GAP member and past Vice President of Membership.

Always interested in arts and crafts, Patty dabbled in many types of media, developing skill in each and often teaching courses -- copper enameling, sewing, quilting, stained glass, photography, scrapbooking, and scherenschnitte.
